Julia Stanmore

HEAD COACH (CF-L2, First Aid)

I started my CrossFit journey at 11 years old and fell in love with the sport right away. The variety, the focus on movement and technique, and the passionate, welcoming community found in CrossFit are truly unmatched. Coaching CrossFit is incredibly rewarding, and I am so grateful to be able to share my passion for health and fitness while educating others about the art of this lifelong practice. Seeing the empowerment that comes from people achieving things they once thought were impossible never gets old!

Lol Williamson

COACH (CF-L2, First Aid)

I have been doing CrossFit on-and-off since 2012 but started coaching in 2023 at age 40 when I was looking for a career change after discharging from full-time Army. I am passionate about helping women and mothers in particular realise what is possible at any age, and I love seeing our athletes focus on technique, get confident, and achieve more than they think they can in the gym. Cornerstone is absolutely my happy place!

Nicky Davies

COACH (CF-L2, First Aid)

With a lifelong background in sport, health and fitness, I am passionate about helping others build confidence, resilience and healthy habits through training. Alongside CrossFit, I have completed marathons and triathlons, developing a strong appreciation for consistency, discipline and personal growth. As a school teacher, I enjoy creating supportive environments where people feel encouraged, challenged and capable. Stepping into CrossFit coaching is an exciting new chapter, and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow within the Cornerstone community while supporting members throughout their fitness journey.

Joel Deans

COACH/OWNER (CF-L2, First Aid)

With over 50 years of life experience, I have always had a passion for fitness and being the best version of myself as a way of making best use of what has been given to me; this started from a young age growing up in Switzerland and PNG through to my time in the Australian Army, including a stint in the Special Forces. Now with my corporate life largely behind me, my passion is to help others build healthy habits across all areas of life. I believe thriving involves not just physical fitness, but mental and spiritual fitness too – “Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is valuable in every way, because it promises life both for the present and for the future” – 1 Tim 4:8. My mission is to walk along others creating balanced, empowered lives, no matter their age or starting point.

The Cornerstone Story

We may not be for everyone, but we are for anyone, of any age and ability. Our distinctive is that we value the importance of human connection over impersonal ‘globo’ gyms for the masses. This means we will remain intentionally smaller, and will genuinely partner with you to be healthy and vibrant. Cornerstone CrossFit was borne out of a deep desire to be our members’ second home, and each class the best hour of their day. We truly believe that there is no better methodology than CrossFit for long-term, sustainable fitness and health. It is truly for anyone, with each movement and workout being infinitely scalable to suit the individual.
